Listing of LS group travel and dates - - Does anyone here end up having sex with people you meet while on vacation without it being a swingers resort and with people you met in some manner non swinger specific? We have been there and done that a few times but we still haven't dedicated any travel time to a swingers resort. We have heard great things about Desire. We have heard that at Hedo there are quite a few really drunk people and some overly persistant single guys that will follow you if it looks like you've hooked up with another couple. We have also heard that no means no has to be reiterated at Hedo but that at desire people seem to just know how to behave. Obviously the people that are there when you go will do a lot to form your impression of the resort. If we are going to go on a vacation with swinging being our primary reason for going we are going to be much more concerned with who we might meet than we would be with the food or accommodations. Whereas anyone that buys a travel package can show up and try and get involved aren't you a bit vulnerable if a real creeper shows up? We are not horribly picky but there are some sorts of people you just do not want around when sex is a possibility. We aren't talking about their bodies. We just don't want to deal with a belligerent drunk or some sociopath while we are naked. How do you handle that? Is there any particular resort that either attracts a nicer, safer type of crowd or that provides some level of security and safety while still allowing for a sex friendly environment? We would pay more to be around the right sort of people.

It's a wanna-be that doesn't really have the balls to be in the lifestyle so they hide behind their computer screen. We try to sort them out very quickly. After an introduction email or two we talk on the phone and then offer to meet for drinks. If there's any reluctance---they're done. We have neither the time or energy to waste on cyber-swingers. Fortunately for us they have been the rare exception. We have been lucky enough to meet some wonderful people so far and are looking forward to meeting lots more! ;)

Why the male side of Couples are here...? - I will admit I am hoping to spark some heated debate on this.... - Shit I had to read thru that whole thing like almost twice. Okay fine, I skimmed it almost twice. Why am I (or we) still in swinging (it will be thirty years in the not too distant future!)? For us it's about the great friendships. Sex is great. It's fun to explore that not only with each other but with other people occasionally. But it's totally secondary for us. With swingers, more than any other group of people we've found, we can be ourselves, say pretty much what we want, and not have to filter anything. With most vanillas, especially here in Utah, we really have to tread lightly and watch what we say and do. With swingers we can laugh our asses off, totally make fun of the world and even flirt without anyone getting too bent out of shape. I'm sure I don't have to tell you what would happen if you did that with most of your vanilla friends. So yeah, friendships are why we stay. Any sex that happens is just the frosting on the Pop-Tart for us.
As for when we're "70+...who will be taking care of you"...I would hope I can pretty much take care of myself, still control my bowels and bladder and occasionally still climb in the saddle and give Ms. Evil a jolly good geriatric rodgering. There are some gays who wear their wedding rings on their right hands (solidarity against "the man" who doesn't let them marry, etc.) -- but "black" isn't a specific thing in the gay community as far as I can tell from some quick research.
The middle finger on the right hand is apparently reserved for the asexuals. (People who aren't interested in sex). Although given that there are roughly 8 such people in the United States, I wouldn't stress too much over being confused with that community.
If this gets any more complex, we're going to need a right-hand-ring governing body. =)

If I just saw a random person with a black ring on a right finger, I wouldn't think anything of it. It appears that there is a new profile established for "The Black Ring Society" right here in our home town, and it is not for the elderly, so all these crazy swinging kids, can and probably will start wearing black rings on their right hands as way to recognize people with possibilities and I say that if wonderful. If you want to wear the rings then wear them optimistically and wear them with pride and enthusiasm and make new friends, find new lovers and have as much fun as you can!
