Small Penises in the Lifestyle - - Being a guy who is 'blessed,' I can tell you a few things: 1.) I am NOT user friendly...A little bit hard to handle for some. 2.) THere are some playgrounds I am not invited to, anal is NEVER offered nor OK'd. 3.) Once people know about my size, I become a walking penis. 4.) Do NOT believe what people say about size, the ruler used by swingers is missing, on average, about 3-4 inches on them, so a 12 incher is really 8 or 9...

FNG ,but hey I get it... Really - - I am encouraging people who are really interested in this lifestyle to be genuine and courteous. I may be throwing some meet and greets as soon as I get a girl who will help me host. (parties a big work) but I got the house for it. I would love to have a party every 60 days; so we, being a small and select few who really enjoy our lives to the fullest can have a setting that is open and not costly to meet folks who live near by and really want some genuine people to interact with. I hope we can be as active as Utah seems to be. I have emailed a few of you here some no response, others great tips and genuine friendly advice. Remember it is not a party with out you. California Orange county I know you are out there I do what I can to promote this lifestyle and pioneer for new friends, lovers, acquaintances and referrals. If I could get some friend invites that are Local I would throw some nice baby hugh hefner* parties. I am just getting involved and I have some great game, genuine personality and very approachable. I am not easily embarrassed but can be hurt. So a simple ignore or no thank you is what I would recommend. I am not expecting a love connection from any or all when I get an email or a network add just expect real genuine swingers who can commit and be courteous if and when I do throw a meet and greet. So is this thing on?:*

Dating other Couples - Have you done it? - Been there, done that, have the t-shirt. We know plenty of people who've done it, and done it successfully (up to a point), ourselves included. We don't know of many, if any, where it has lasted for more than a few years and didn't end somewhat badly. It CAN be quite heady and has the potential to take swinging to the next level. Unfortunately, it is also exponentially more likely to crank up the drama factor to eleven (out of ten). Quite often each couple has their own "agenda" (for lack of a better term) that is often at odds with the other couple's agenda. We've seen it frequently cause weird jealousies not only between primary partners but also between non-primary partners and in a few extreme notable cases it has ended marriages. In our case, we were relatively long-term swingers at that point who, although never really super active in the scene, felt like we'd checked off most of the things on our swinging bucket list and were somewhat curious if there was more out there to explore in swingerdom...or if we were sort of done with the scene. The couple we started "dating" wasn't really the kind of couple we usually were attracted to and maybe that was part of the allure. They also had a very interesting (to say the least) dynamic in their marriage that really was at odds with that in our relationship. Ultimately they kept pushing boundaries (started throwing the "L" word around and much more), pushed for more and more separate activities and were insidious in slowly and subtly causing rifts, both large and small, as well as a LOT of drama. We actually didn't even realize how much drama and subterfuge had occurred until we were finally out of the situation entirely. We actually miss them a little, at times, and often wonder if there might have been a way to talk things out and come to a better understanding of how to continue on in a healthier way but they've actually gone on to do exactly the same thing to a number of other couples we know (it's a small world in Utah swinging and word gets around) and it seems to be their pattern. Tldr; It can work. It's quite rare when it works long term. It has the potential for disaster. While it's appealing in many ways we don't really recommend it. YMMV

Feeling a bit far out in left field.. - How to meet people... - Adult friend finder is not a bad place to start either. More singles than couples but the singles may lead you to some gatherings or meet an greets. Also on yahoo groups there is a group called Minn-Dak_social_club. Its a fairly active group that I have used when I travel to North Dakota but I know there are few South Dakotans on it. Also I know its a ways off but when Sturgis is happening there are a few groups that magically pop up around that time keep your eyes open. SLS is a great lifestyle site that can also point you in the right direction. Try this site also http://www.fabswingers.com/browse/country/USA/South_Dakota Just google South Dakota Swingers lots of different places. May take a little work but worth the effort. Good luck

Clubbing? - New to this lifestyle -
I'm new to this lifestyle and was wondering, are there any good clubs where swingers go to meet. I RSVPd to a party on the home page, but it says there's an 89-person limit and there are twice the number already signed up. Chances are, I won't get in. So where is a good place to go to just have fun with like-minded people?
IT IS AN 85 COUPLE LIMIT...SO UP TO 170 PEOPLE GIVE OR TAKE A FEW HERE AND THERE

Cruise - pricing - You guys are really bitching about paying $2000 for two people for a 7 day lifestyle takeover cruise? I heard Utah people were cheap but come on. Let's break that down per day... $285... per couple... per day... We've been many places that aren't nearly as nice as being on a cruise with 2100 swingers and paid a lot more than that for just hotel rooms. Throw in car rental and food and you're out even more. So what if you're paying $600 more than what they charge for a regular cruise... you don't have to worry about children and you're around people you can actually have fun with. Sounds like the extra money is worth it to me. And have you ever been on ANY vacation when you fly? Add in airfare, liquor, tips and gratuities as well. You're not getting those things free on most other vacations anyways. Did you go to SwingFest? The rooms there were $300 a night! So if you can't afford this cruise, don't knock the people who put it together, we've been waiting for something like this for a long time and they deserve to make a bit of money off this because I'm sure it wasn't easy. And you're probably the ones who bitch about there never being any events or parties for lifestylers, then when someone puts one together, you bitch about it because they make a dollar for their efforts. We'll be on the cruise and we'll be glad to see those who aren't cheap on there with us.

How does swinging influence your views on love and relationships - student documentary - Where are you doing this Documentary? We are swingers and I am Poly so maybe a strange mix but I can tell you that my/our attitude or the way we think about love has not negatively affected us. Swinging is one thing and love relationships is something altogether different. If I meet someone and we get to know each other and for soem reason we fall in love(all eyes open toother relatonships..no secrets from anyone)then great... So I think we keep the swinging and love separate for the most part. As for the film..... that would depend on several things... Where it is being held and 2 if you wanted an old fart, such as myself, in said movie/film/publication. Ray

Slight concern about certain men in the lifestyle - -
Just a question to you Florida swingers.. Do allot of single males have this guys attitude? Seriously? I have found very few if any like this in Utah?
I wont beat a dead horse. You already know the answer to this. (I shouldn't have to go any further, but I will) There are good people and bad people in every part of society. It's up to everyone to get to the core while weeding out the worms. I have found very few if any like this in FL, just ignore that stinky asshole. I know we will... BTW, his alias is MASSMN. I believe MASS might = Massachusetts. Which makes him not a florida swinger. Just a dirty carpet bagger...

can we swing and still not be in sin ? - - Since I've been sucked into the swirling vortex of this thread, the only way I can feel like I haven't been robbed of the last 1/2 hr (give or take) of my life is to add my .02 Ok, I know I could just chalk it up to that which doesn't kill me only makes me stronger, but adding my input seems more satisfying. I'll start off by saying that if you are doing this much research regarding religions and what they allow or don't allow regarding sexual activity it has to make me wonder if you're seriously considering converting to another religion just to save yourself the guilt of sin brought upon by whatever religion you happen to be at the moment. All religions have been formed and molded over the years by people. People who are not perfect, who have their own agendas. A sense of right and wrong doesn't come solely from religion. Many religions would like you to think that in an attempt to keep you in their camp and they'll be more than happy to tell you what is right and wrong for the rest of your life (in case you can't think for yourself). But if you have to switch religions just so that you can sleep at night after a fun-filled evening of swinging, you have some other things to figure out. Or perhaps you should just start you're own religion, where you can make all the rules. In any case, I think its fairly safe to say that most religions believe quite strongly that those of us engaging in the swinging lifestyle are sinning by engaging in immoral activities, just cuz they don't use the actual word sin, doesn't mean anything. Its just more politically correct these days to say immoral. In any case though, they most certainly believe that we (swingers) will most definitely be going to a very special level of hell, a level reserved for... (sorry, narrowly avoided an obsure pop culture reference) As for me, yes I believe there is a God. And one of the few things that I think is accurately stated repeatedly in the bible is to love thy neighbor and I'm more than happy to spread the love around in whatever way/shape is available to me. -SG

The unbearable burden of proof. - Congratulations! You have an opinion. Why does everybody else have to agree with it? - Well, this certainly seems like a 'diverted extension' to me. But, since you did ask (and publicly), here goes: People often tell others what they've done, to demonstrate that they have a certain amount of experience doing it. Simple enough. And, in remarkable contrast to your opinion, it's not necessarily to sound intelligent or to give credence to an outrageous postulations. Sometimes they actually know what they're talking about. Unfortunately, you can't assume that just because someone talks about their experience, they really don't know anything. As to your comment concerning years of experience...(and you immediately zero in on computers...hmmm...wonder what that's about?) 1. As T4REAL capably put it, the kid from college has 'book smarts', but often lacks the real-world experience to make that training useful. Give me the vet every time - and if you listen, you'll find many who will echo that. Probably a majority. Why? Because the vet's not only seen more real problems, but they've been involved in more real answers. I recall a quote along the lines of "The biggest fault of youth is inexperience". While the young grad *cannot* have the benefit of experience the vet does, it *is* possible the vet can have the experience and the (recent) academic exposure, as well. 2. My mom - an educator herself, with degrees in all sorts of stuff, told me once, "I went to college to learn what I didn't know". (Little play on words, there - she was a languistics teacher). What she meant was that, beyond high school is another type of learning - broad and still detailed. You really begin to realize how little you actually know about things when you're exposed to further education. You gain an advanced perspective, which in turn makes you realize you know diddly, in the grand scheme of things. (Happy Mother's Day, Mom) 3. "Any more than 5 years of doing something allows a person sufficient enough time to become calcified into a single-mindedness that allows the world to pass you by anonymously." Nice pile of words...but, sure - it does 'allow...sufficient time' - but, again, it doesn't guarantee anything. If a person does anything for *any* length of time, and doesn't work to keep current, they will fall behind what is current. But you have little way of knowing how current people are, just based on some post on an Internet swingers site. Five years of doing something doesn't automatically mean someone's fallen behind, either. And the 62.5% of all statistics you cite? Well, doesn't that mean 37.5% are completely legit? (No matter the fictitious percentage *you* make your point with, it's complement will always oppose you). Again, trouble here is you have no way of knowing whether a given citation is accurate or not - but you can't just assume they're all wrong. Again, as in our recent discussion elsewhere - I put my opinion out there, and I have no problem letting others read and decide for themselves. Some people (*ahem*) seem so interested in contradicting others, they get far, far away from the matter at hand. You may find it interesting to know, I'm not really formally educated much beyond high school and military technical training; I hold no degrees, and very few certifications, proper. What I know about PC's I've learned almost entirely on my own. To be honest, I'd prefer a guy who learned because he really had passion enough to learn on his own. This is one reason I have so many machines at home...it's a hobby, but it's also a huge test bed; a training apparatus. And I've been training for over 25 years (sorry, I'm sure you hate me saying that). On the other hand, with no more education and certificates than I have, I did actually run a reasonably successful business for a while. I've managed to support my family at a level *well* beyond the means you'd expect from my education alone. So, it's possible that I do know what I'm talking about, although I don't expect you'll ever acknowledge that. It's OK, I don't really require your acknowledgement. I do realize I'm making a few assumptions here myself. While this isn't necessarily about me, it damn sure smacks of it; not at all subtle of you. Still, I've tried to indulge you, without attacking you or being insulting. I hope you learn what there is to know from the responses to your post. And T4real - excellent points!
