Neighbors with benefits already cancled - - I guess I was just theorizing that the same people who got A&E to reinstate Phil Robertson after his hateful comparison of homosexuality and bestiality (let alone atheism, rape and murder) maybe didn't take too kindly to A&E also having a show about swingers. But I could be wrong. If nothing else it should maybe be a wake up call to any swingers who mistakenly think all or most vanillas are only a Long Island Iced Tea away becoming full on swingers. Now that you're one of them there fancy swingers... - -
It's very nice of you to bring ice cream to an event, FRIENDLY. There is always room for extra ice cream or maybe a casserole or a bundt cake.
I dunno, once they start to bring ice cream, I become a bit of a dessert snob. I want white chocolate raspberry truffle cheesecake next time.

Saying No Gracefully - And still Get rude responces - Does this happen to anyone else. - I would have to say that I COMPLETELY concur with the statement, "that it is OKAY not to be interested". In fact, if we, D & M, get the feeling that couple we are chatting with plays with "everyone" they meet, we are much less inclined to pursue anything, at least without current test results. ;) People are people, and we all have emotions. Because of this, you will have those who bow out courteously, those who actually prefer an honest critique, as well as people that feel the need to "stomp their feet" on their way out,(metaphorically speaking, of course). People react differently to rejection. And no amount of candy-coating is going to change that. Don't be fooled by those that say, "You aren't a real swinger because you don't play with everyone." You just aren't "their" type of swinger, and probably would prefer not to be. Swinging is a lot like dating, sad to say, but sorry it is. You select those you would like to meet, decide where and how to meet, see if your interests match up, then meet to test the chemistry, and go from there. So if your interests aren't a huge orgy where everyone plays with everyone...those won't be the couples/singles you are interested in meeting. There is a place for everyone in swinging, so don't let people force you into their way of thinking, in swinging, or in life. If it's not what you wanted in the first place, you probably won't be happy doing it, so why bother. There are MANY, I'll bet the MAJORITY of swingers that won't play with everyone, so don't let anyone fool you with that line of BS. It is our privilege, and our right to say "No!" when and how we choose! We are Americans goddamnit! Don't sweat it, or take it as a compliment. The delete and block functions take only seconds, yet can eliminate so much aggravation. [em]Emo_17[/em]

single guy bashing - -
Single males provide necessary services in the world of swingers, more so than single females. He has to work a lot harder than the single female to be welcomed into a couple's life. Age is not as important as his determination to do as follows. A good single male will stay in good shape, no extra flab or belly. He will be clean, well groomed, dress nicely, intelligent, and knowledgable on almost all subjects, he will be well practiced in all forms of sexual activity, he will be a good listener, kind, gentle, caring, understanding, or rough, crude, and demanding according to what is requested or desired by the hosting couple. He will be able to carry on a quality conversation with both the husband and wife on anything of interest to them. He will not try to dominate the conversation, or the encounter. He will make it clear that he is not there to try and steal the wife. He will make himself available to help the couple do ordinary things that additional help is required or appreciated. He will bring these qualities to the table. A good single male is not a piece of meat that you chew, screw, and then shoo out the door. You'll want to keep him around. Husbands appreciate a single male that is willing to be a good friend, to share common interests, exchange experiences, and to learn from one-another. Male bonding is the term associated with this. Wives appreciate a single male because they are usually entertaining, capable, and are willing to provide her with some excitement that married life loses after some years. A good single male will not do or say anything that will make the husband or wife jealous. There is no place for jealousy in swinging. How can I make such bold statements as these? Well, I was single for many years, married for many years until widowed, and now single again. So, I know both sides of the fence very well.
Magnetic, I think your description of the ideal single male should start out with "Once upon a time" and end with "and they all lived happilly ever after". IF such a single male does exist in "real" life, not only do I wanna meet this Super Hero - I think I want to turn gay and marry him. IF this is what couples are looking for in a single guy, then I guess us normal, average, regular, run-of-the-mill guys are SOL. Oh, wait a minute - just thought of something................................ Is your description of the ideal single male also your resume? All in fun, Dude - all in fun.

To message first or not - Do you reach out first? - We respond to inquiries far more often then we make the first contact. When we were younger we got a lot more inquiries and we also made more first contacts . We used to play almost weekly, and sometimes two or three times a week. We attended more meet and greets too. As we have aged we get fewer inquiries. We are probably not within the age parameters, that most swingers are looking for. We also have very little free time. So really it kind of works out. We have discovered that now that are kids are all grown and married etc., that almost all of our social time is family related. Its a good thing! What it has done is eliminate us from the hit most of the events crowd or the hang out twice every weekend crowd. We just can't live up to that. It's not out of obligation it's a choice. We spent far more energy and emotion as parents than we have in the swing scene. So for us spontaneity and flexibility are really key elements. We can't spend much time swinging, but we will make worth someone's time when we do hook up. For us primetime swing time was at the point in life when the kids were old enough to not need a babysitter, they needed a lot of time to hang out with friends and needed a bit of autonomy too. We could go out, while they were out playing with their friends, and play with our friends. Now that they are all real adults, happy and successful, they want to hang out. We enjoy each others company, and for us family really is paramount. We were not swingers when they were young. We really didn't have time for it. Now that our kids are adults, and are doing what we did with family, and we are involved and enjoying it, what and who fits in the lifestyle has changed up a bit. The search engine parameters, and most profiles don't address most of the deeper layers of compatibility. In the end, if you remain true to yourselves, and each other, you'll run into the right people, at the right times in your life.

Cuckolding - - Enjoying seeing one's wife/partner have sex with another man (despite the definitions one usually finds in the vanilla world) doesn't reach the level of what true cuckolding is or has come to mean, especially in the context of the lifestyle. While there definitely IS a small subset of swingers who enjoy cuckold-type play it often involves more of a humiliation vibe directed towards the husband and sometimes even some bondage as well, i.e. husband tied up and "forced" to watch wife fucked by a more virile man, etc. while being told how inadequate, small, unmanly he is compared to the "bull". This misconception of mainstream swinging denoting a cuckholding component for married male swingers is not only way off the mark but it's also a little dangerous in that it far too often gives a very false picture of what the scene actually is to many single males who then treat women/couples accordingly. This, in turn, perpetuates the stereotype of the single male who doesn't really "get" what the scene is about and leads to trashing ALL single males. We've been AMAZED over the years at how many single males think that married male swingers are cucks when that couldn't be further from the truth.

questions, thoughts, opinions, - Cousins, or family at parties together? -
Lol so it sounds like we all need to have a swingers family reunion and instead of swapping wives we all swap, families. Lol
Now thats funny!!!

glofing lessons - - First off ........... Nice offer on your end. Not to detract from your generosity, but have a few questions. What qualifies you to teach Mike? Played for years? Had a good mentor? Good at teaching the key basics? Won some tourneys? (as I have) Just wondering where you got the idea to do this posting and where it came from. Or were you just looking for golfing buddies. I would say lets see who can teach who, and "lets play heads" LOL but honestly, put on a swingers site that may send the wrong message, or others may take that statement wrong. I play straight! LOL Honestly though, could say that Sara can help wash my balls for good luck and make my putter stand on end (Thanks Johnny Carson) but would really like to know more how she can handle the driver. Hummm Which course is she willing to play? :P Let's ALL go golfing!

Ft Myers, FL - HELP!!! - Craigslist is local down there. MAGNETIC is right, after being laid off after 7+ years at my old job due to the economy, it was very difficult to find a new FULL time job that paid anything more than $8 an hour. I just moved AWAY from Fort Myers in June due to the unemployment rate, it's a tourist spot. I hope you have a job lined up...it's tough down there however it is beautiful in areas and the beach is nice (just don't go during spring break LOL). A bright spot is that they have a couple of swing clubs down there and quite a few swingers :) Good luck in your move!

Not getting much action on here - - Swingsites, I think, are dying a slow, painful death and one day in the not too distant future will probably cease to exist. We've been on a number of sites since the early days of the interwebs and most have gone under...and the two we're still on are in danger of becoming extinct. There are just too many other platforms and apps that make it easy for people, especially younger swingers who are already predisposed to use those methods, to find and hook up with other people. It's really too bad because swingsites offer an arguably better, more discreet, way for people to browse other's profiles and pics in relative safety before they decide to venture off to meet.
