We've had multiple occasions where people in the wild have introduced themselves to us as a result of the rings. Mostly when we were traveling (outside of Utah). It's really not a big thing in Utah, yet... but outside of the state it's catching on relatively quickly.

The old-timers seem content to poo-poo any idea, concept, or trend that doesn't fit their definition of 'swinging'. We think it is a simple enough concept to be effective. Sometime back those rubbery wrist bands like "Live Strong" use were supposed to be a way to identify swingers but there were all these categories and colors and we think it failed because it was just too complicated. Wearing a black ring on your right hand, on any finger other than your middle finger, is simple enough. Not mandating it be a particular ring but just a black ring and no further rules, in our opinion will help the trend to spread. It does seem to be spreading.
We are both over 50, and so far Mrs. Delicious has not yet had anyone mention her ring, but as of today I have been approached on four different occasions all of which were recent. My work related social circles are much larger and more gregarious, and more liberal, which may explain why I have been approached and she has not. Yes person number four, knows person number three, that approached me, so that may count as three real ring related approaches, but I have been approached.

Boise swingers? - Any out there? - Try "Swing LifeStyle" (SLS). Since we are closer to Boise than where most Swingular folks seem to reside (Utah), we thought we'd give it a try. It looked promising and we were told Boise has a good number of folks in the lifestyle. However, upon noticing that SLS membership was more costly than Swingular (which we had already paid), we decided not to pursue. That may change though. It's been challenging for us... and the distance between us and the Utah folks make it more so.

Sorry you seem to be having problems but sometimes things just go with the territory. There may be a few times where someone may send a mail before completely reading a profile. We don't do it often but have had it happen a time or two and we are pretty sure we aren't the only ones who have made that mistake at least once.
Secondly, while your profile does state what you are looking for, please try and remember what type of site this is. While not completely uncommon, it is rare to find a couple "just looking to be social friends". Usually there is a desire to at least have some sort of "soft swing" , " girl on girl" etc.......
We don't see anything wrong with your reply to the other couple, there are times when a reply can lead to offense taken by the other couple no matter how well worded it may have been. No need to worry always, as it is impossible to please everyone everytime : ) Just do your best to be polite.
If you and your husband are not on the same level here, ie: one looking for more or less than the other, it might be a wonderful idea to take a step back, talk openly and honestly with one another and make sure you are both heading in the same direction before jumping in. another club under fire - club in peoria - PEORIA -- City leaders in Peoria will soon consider an ordinance aimed at outlawing private swingers clubs where couples meet and swap partners.
The ordinance is aimed at a local business called Club 307. The club sits a couple of blocks from the Police Department and is reportedly a swingers club.
Mayor Jim Ardis told the (Peoria) Journal Star that the city doesn't have an ordinance preventing couples from paying to enter a club and swap partners. But he believes the city needs one.
City Councilman Eric Turner thinks many people are disgusted that Peoria has such a club.
Nobody answered a call to the phone number listed for the club on Friday, and there was no way to leave a message.
The council plans to consider the ordinance Tuesday.
