Calling all losers! - LS and club scene - We used to go to coffee group that was comprised of people that were either swingers or poly or somewhere in between. It was fun! Lots of great conversations. We still know quite a few of the people that went. Yes people made sexual connections. We did! It worked because it was consistently held at the same time and same place every week. It was really invitation by word of mouth that got it started and kept in going for quite sometime. Friends inviting friends meeting new friends. Some weeks there were twenty people and some weeks there were four. Most weeks there were about ten. People move away and or their schedules change and eventually the group just sort of ended. We know it went on for about six months after our schedules caused us to rarely be able to go. It seems to us that if it is consistent and for people that live in the same general location it is more likely to work longer term.

Taking one for the team - Put a picture of your male half in your profile! - First of all, NOBODY should fuck someone they don't want to fuck. Having said that, though, we've found that "taking one for the team" is usually somewhat relative. It seems to quite often be the case that if you actually LOOK hard enough for attractive qualities in other people you are apt to find them. At least one or two qualities! LOL We've almost never encountered another couple where one of us was attracted to one of them and their partner was completely unattractive. I guess if someone is reasonably attractive they're pretty unlikely to end up with someone who isn't attractive at all. But we've also found (and yes, we're guilty of this sometimes as well) that many people sort of get in their own way, so to speak, when it comes to looking for people to play with and, often, almost look for reasons NOT to play and, in effect, end up talking themselves out of playing. When we first started in the lifestyle it was FAR more labor-intensive (no internet swingsites) to look for other couples and there were far fewer swingers as well so if you were extremely picky you pretty much didn't ever actually end up playing. By the time most people jumped through all the hoops you had to jump thru to find other couples most people were pretty predisposed to playing, unless they were really turned off for some reason. Now, it seems like there are just so many options, literally right at our fingertips, that perhaps it's just a little too easy to keep swiping left...always looking for the bigger, better deal. Age differences - How do you handle it - We look to make some sort of a friendship with anyone we play with so we feel the best chance that would happen is if they were close to our ages but we have found many exceptions to that theory. We are just playing the odds that a connection is most commonly found with someone of similar ages. The reason for this thread was because of conversation we were involved in at a party recently that we attended. People of all ages were there. I was sitting with a few older ladies, who I must say were very attractive, but then they started talking about all of their ailments and it almost makes me afraid that I might accidently hurt them if we played. I want to provide pleasure, not pain. Also a few were saying they went to a big party and it was mostly younger couples who were dirty dancing and flirting but not really playing and they felt the younger swingers are not as sexual as the older people are. One rationalized it by saying that maybe the fear of pregnancy is the issue. We try to be ourselves at all times and if we find common interests with a couple younger or older then us, great. Since we are somewhere in the middle we can go higher or lower then our ages. We would go higher then our ages first because of the experience and maturity factors hoping their experience will provide us some fun and share their knowledge with us.
