If your just hooking up for sex and not friendship as many in the lifestyle are does it matter what the other partners have going on in there lives? Where they work, are they married etc? Everyone swings for there own reason and if all your looking for is pleasure of a third or whatever then so long as they are clean, respectful and discreat it really shouldn\'t concern you (Same goes for females). When you meet at a swingers club do you check everyones credentials, do a background check and call references?
HOWEVER... if your looking for friends, more than just a one night stand (Not the No-Strings arrangment) then surely you would talk about why everyone is involved in the lifestyle and honesty etc become doubly important.

tired of the B>S> - - The only chance we have of meeting fakes is if the couple at the club or party turns out to be transsexual dwarfs and were fooled by their elevator shoes making them look taller. We have been around this stuff a good while. Actually we have never tried to meet a couple on this website, we gave that approach to meeting long before this website came to be. (I know my ass doesn't look that old but it is trust me)
Fakes have always plagued these boards, it was FAR WORSE when you didn't have the verification systems in place and while these are good they are still not a guantaree you are dealing with the real deal. The now infamous "Christylynn" was certified as a "real couple" and technically they were a "real couple" just not what you had planned on. You can e-mail someone back & forth till your fingers bleed but your will not truly know what's behind door number two until they walk through the door.
The best way to try and eliminate fakes and flakes is obviously to meet them in person. The only way to hope to be successful is NOT to plan an evening out with ONE COUPLE. We are fortunate enough to have a variety of swingers clubs and organized lifestyle parties in our area to use as a place to meet where we can not only see the couple we can SEE the couples interaction. (This is the part that helps you avoid the flakes) This works great for people like the original poster who lives in West Palm Beach Florida and this is what I recommend.
For those who live in Alta, Utah (Pop.304) this approach is not so good. You fine folks in Alta will probably have to do a little more on-line work to round up some party people. (Just start with real seal at MINIMUM and work it from there...good luck.

hall passes - valid? - What the lying scoundrels don't understand is that people of integrity usually have a lot more sex and a lot more enjoyable sex, with no regrets, whether they are swingers or monogamous, married or single because of their honesty. I am not saying that we all should go tell everyone, everything about our sex lives, when that information, is irrelevant in our communications and interaction with them. Our sex lives are not everyone's business. It frankly is however, relevant information, for anyone you are trying to develop a sexual and or romantic relationship with, and lying or leaving out information makes the person that does it a scoundrel. As for the two of us, we hope to avoid any sort of sexual proximity with scoundrels. We would also like to avoid people that knowingly give sex and sexual safe harbor to scoundrels. Scoundrels get a bad reputation, and a bad reputation is a barrier in life, sexually and otherwise.

Meeting new swingers? - Where to meet them? - You may not believe this but the food court in a shopping mall is a great place. No putting on aires, no dress up no reservations totally relaxed and neutral atmosphere and if they don't show go shopping. It really works... Discovered the idea about 3 years ago.... We generally go to a mall that is big enough to support a food court... and one that both parties know or close to one of the parties....Hey if we haven't been there before there's that many new stores for her to explore if there is a no show.. Who knows, there may be a bass pro shop or a golf shop in the mall...
