Meet and Greet GANGBANG - - I am 'just a single guy' to many here, however I have had success with what you are talking about. Several years ago KOIGIRL, who isn't active anymore, posted a party invite and I hosted. We had gone to parties and it seemed like nothing happened until someone got drunk and then the shit hit the fan. We held a party where there were 8 couples plus me and Koi. Every couple spent 15-20 minutes getting to know everyone else. It was very comfortable and after an hour and a half, the talking turned into debauchery (for those who were interested). This isn't the only way to do it, but I will say this. Every one was naked, not all together, but same room until groups split off. Also, most all of the alcohol was still there. We met swingers from before the internet to first time players..... It's a good idea! Best of luck! Scott

When does interest become pushy??? - - I've been thinking of this topic a lot since it first came out. I appreciate all of the comments made. EVILDOERS said, "Confidence is sexy", and I agree. I see a coupe of things here worthy of comment. First, in this game, women are totally in control. Sex is probably the strongest power position they have. All men want it, women control it. When they say no, or not interested, it's the end of the line for a man. HOW they say it is different. And how a man receives the rejection is different. Anybody who knows me social or professionally would never characterize me as shy. I'm outspoken and engaged most of the time. Because I've been rejected less than politely for advances in the swingers scene before, and after a lot of retrospection didn't deserve the rudeness of the rebukes, I'm a little more reserved, maybe even gun shy. The fact is, in this lifestyle, no matter how good you are, sooner or later you're going to get rejected. The person doing the rejecting may have had a bad day and be less than polite, but it also could be that you're not handling rejection well. Recently at a meet and greet I made an advance that seemed more than just welcomed, almost asked for, but was politely refused. I misread the signals, obviously. That happens to all of us at some time or another. The lady was polite in her refusal, and I think that's the key. I think at some time or another we all will give signals that welcome an advance, but do so in error. When an advance comes that we don't want we can reject it, but doing so politely is key. It's simple common courtesy. If the person making the advance persist, then something stronger may be necessary. Again, common courtesy would be to desist when told to do so. It's all about treating people with respect. We're in this lifestyle to be sexually connected with others. Advances are generally, but not always, welcome and expected. We need to be polite and respectful in both our advances and rejections, whichever side we're on. Mr. Sexperimentors

Friends? - Friends in and out of the bedroom? - It seems like there are two general classes of swingers. The 'one and done, "we already have all the friends we need just bend over and take it"' crowd and 'the more friends the merrier, in fact "we prolly won't fuck you until we know you a little better"' group. We fall into the latter group. In fact we're pretty much here solely for the friendships. I mean, if sex happens that's awesome. But it's not our raison d'etre cuz we can always go home and enjoy the hell out of banging each other. YMMV

Single Males ~VS~ Single Females - Whats the difference? - OK... How many times do we have to beat the proverbial dead horse? NOTHING in this thread is new, aside from one guy getting letters from Honduras or some other odd shit. The reality of it is this: Single Men tend to be pushy, arrogant, looking to "fuck your wife like you wish you could," and other various piggish things, HOWEVER, there are those, T4REAL is among them, that are swingers...The problem is that there are MANY of the former, and FEW of the later. Between the insecurity, the preferences, and the assholes, it makes for an uphill climb for a single male. The best advice I can give single males is this: DO NOT FEED THE STEREOTYPE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the profile says, NO SINGLE MALES...don't write...you are NOT special...If they respond negatively, do NOT write back and ask why or make a snide remark....Just let it go... IF you are reading a profile and it says, "WE WILL CONTACT YOU" let them contact you...Come on...The profile says that for a reason... Now...On to the clubs...Someone stated that they paid $70 to get into a club, but got laid with dinner and all for less...Sorry, but that sounds like prostitution...NOTwhat the lifestyle is about...Why do they charge more for single men? because the single man will pay it...They do not run a club as a "Lets get single men layed charity" it is a business...the sole purpose of a business is to make money...That whole discussion is the EXACT reason so many couples say NO SINGLE MEN...What a prick...If I were you, I would delete that piece...You will NEVER get laid with that type of shit floating around here... Another reason single men are so frowned upon, how many times have you seen a profile with nothing but a dick picture? OK>.....You ARE a male, we must assume you have one...Why not put something else on? If you read profiles, MOST say, "WE DO NOT NEED A COCK SHOT" only a few want to make sure the goods are good...so why would you post nothign but a cock shot? Then there is the angry inch guys...They have a turtle head and wanna advertise it...What the fuck is that? If you have a small dick, you can make up for it with personality and skill, HOWEVER, if you advertise it...No one will give you the chance... OK...I think I am done with my rant...At least for now...

coffee shops??? - - Sunset Coffee used to have local swingers and poly people meet there most every week. There was often a bunch of young, non pushy, non literal, non denominational Christians there as well. We actually took part in a few really open and friendly conversations because the tables are close enough we could hear each others conversations. http://www.mysunsetcoffee.com/ is the link. Not sure who meets there these days. Coffee is pretty good too.

taking one for the team - - Very well said... this is a great topic. Anyone interested in adding it to the Swingers Wiki? ThoughtGarden may have some good words. Here is the wiki: http://wiki.swingular.com.

Does size matter? - - We know a couple in which the husband is exceptionally well hung and as a guy you might wonder if you'd be "enough" for the wife if you aren't hung like him. But my wife put it well: "If it was all about size then why are the swinging since only about 1% of the men they meet would be bigger than her husband?" I thinks she's right. My wife put the part in our profile about not caring what size dick a guy has, that if there is chemistry whatever size it is will be just fine. We've heard this from allot of women, also. Here's some results from polls on The Swingers Board that may shed some light on this subject. Mind you there are anonymous internet polls, so people could lie... but it doesn't appear to be on the "big" side if they are: In one poll men were asked "How long are you?" Smaller than 5" 1.39% 5" 12.19% 6" 28.34% 6.5" 19.72 7" 22.50% 8" 10.21% Larger than 8" 5.65% So almost 71% of respondents fall in the 6" - 7" category and only 6% of respondents have more than 8". By the way, in the poll only 1.49% responded 9". When the question was asked of women "If he knows how to use it, what size penis do you prefer?" the results were: 4" - 5" 2.38% 6" - 7" 59.52% 8" 23.81% > 8" 14.28% So sorry Sin, you are in the minority in your opinion that every woman wants a big one and they are lying if they say different. The majority (71%) of penises are between 6" to 7" and 83% of women prefer a penis between 6" and 8", and 3/4's of them said they prefer those in the 6" to 7" range. Mr. CARESS4U

letting the cat out of the bad=g - have either of you ever accidentally let something about the lifestyle slip in front of family ect? - We were going to host our first couple at our home and had our 14 yr old son go hang with his 18 yr old cousin who if a smart ass and would not ever know what he's talking about but when he came to get him he looked dead in his aunts face and said " you guys are swingers huh?" Now he was only joking but my wife about died and of course said shit up you smart ass .

Isn't It All About Marketing? - Interesting what people post in profiles and pictures - I find all aspects of the lifestyle interesting. One of the most interesting is what swingers post on these types of sites - who they are, what they are looking for, and their public and private pictures. Isn't it all about market ourselves? I will not make any judgmental remarks here, because we should not be judgmental in the lifestyle; however, sometimes I wonder what they are trying to communicate. Because I am a professional website designer I probably look at things differently, also because I am a voyeur I like to see good quality images - ones that show me something about what can be expected in sexual play. I also wonder if I am reading/seeing more in things that are posted than are really intended - i.e., personality, intelligence, playfulness, etc. Thus my questions: Do people take the time here to make a good impression? Are they trying to open doors or to close deals? Do they do well at marketing themselves? Do you have opinions about what is good marketing on a swinger site? Cheers, Charles for Lauri and Me
